After 3 days in a row of all fashion shows attendance, i just couldn't get my feet to the 4th day of the Athens Xclusive Designers Week (and that day was today!). But, at least right now - tired enough - i have the opportunity to post all these interesting (and not) things, moments, people and creations i witnessed!
First of all, i have to say that the organization of the AXDW was pretty cool and fun! Of course, we've got the Fashion Week Athens coming up next, so don't be tranquilized!
Marithe & Francois Girbaud
So, i start from the last one, who undoubtedly was the highest standards fashion maker of all the designers who gave their presence at the AXDW and showed us their precious creations. Nothing to be compared to Marithe & Francois Girbaud... But this 'comparison' i just made is not fair... the two french designers are internationally established. So, our Greek ones, and especially those who now start their super-promising career, really did well and stood up next to names like the famous Marithe & Francois Girbaud! And just only for that, they take hundreds of credits!
And the photostorm now begins! I just have to tell you one thing. I don't like posting this kind of stiff photos with the catwalking models - we can see all that on magazines, so i'll give you my point of view.. of course, i'll try to post some of these, in order to give a more complete image of the event, but don't expect much, hehe!
The two french designers' interview, just before the show begins:
Catwalk ready, set, go!

Ratt by Rita Attala
This lady showed us geometrically round techniques and patterns. Through her collection, it seems that she mostly focused on mature modern woman's needs and profile. And i focused on the backstage!..as you can clearly see (p.s. My blog's PRESS pass gave me full access and lots of goodies!!!, so enjoy..)
Ioannis Guia
Ioannis Guia is a respectfully creative and positively provocative Greek man, who lives in Paris. We welcomed him in his country home, with the warmest applause, while his show was different, radical, excellent.. He chose to give us religious features in a rather hardcore and dark way. The goth models' attitude and the church hymns combined with dub house music, made the strongest statement. I enjoyed his show the most. Cassocks, lace, transparent, black, white and chic are the 'ingredients' of his collection's menu!
Stelios Koudounaris
Black black black black!!! The Cypriot designer Stelios Koudounaris presented a mostly black and chic collection, with the little pattern details to make his work special and futuristic. His show was obviously professional, almost equivalent to those of the international brands.
..interviewed by World Fashion TV:
Two In A Gondola
The Cypriot designer Elena Pavlou stands out for her urban style creations. I looooove her clothes, my wardrobe already hosts many of her designs.. and as far as i can see, her pieces in my personal collection will be multiplied! This time, her collection seemed to have something from 'dinosaurs' and other similar creatures, with this spinal designs and spring patterns...
Miltos
The Greek designer who has proven the high quality of his creations. This time, he had something different to say! Classical music, Victorian hairstyle, sleeves and corset were nicely (and undisturbed) combined with pleated or lace details.
Celebrity Skin
Yesterday, i missed Celebrity Skin's show, cause too much work at the office was knocking the door, so i arrived at the shows a little bit late.. So, i'll cover Dimitris' and Eleni's collection right from the showroom! Stay tuned and it's coming hot! Pics with the two brilliant and suuuper kind designers, while hanging around:
So, that's it for today! Next post: more photos, especially for the new designers' shows and awards! And don't forget... ready for the Fashion Week Athens? More info coming up..
